Crux The annual talent show is the highlight of this small town's autumn festival, though lately, there hasn't been much cause to celebrate. Textiles, tobacco, and the furniture factory – staples of the local economy – are either gone or slowly dwindling away. Though the crowd is smaller than last year, the few hundred in attendance are enjoying the music and have seemingly forgotten, if but for a little while, that their town is dying. intermission –
